What EU importers must prove on each Vietnam shipment lot
As the EU importer (operator), you need production-plot coordinates, evidence of no deforestation after 31 December 2020, and documents to prove before placing goods on the market.

The buyer needs accurate coordinates for each production plot tied to the goods in a shipment lot.
- Forest
No deforestation after 31 December 2020
You need to prove the goods were grown on a plot with no deforestation after this cutoff. Long-farmed plots can still lack the data to prove it.
- Trade
Distinctive trade customs, legality per lot
Vietnam’s trade and farming customs are distinctive. Buyer files must prove the goods are legal and match the shipment lot; each lot’s document needs can differ by timing, so a generic pack is not enough.
